I am pleased to announce to the Global DP Community that Charles (Chuck) Centore, President: Project Management and Execution at Gate Energy has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the MTS DP Committee (DPC). Chuck is no stranger to the DP Community given that he currently serves as the Chairman of the MTS DPC Conference, and, having served in several key roles at the MTS DPC, (Past Co-Chair of the signature MTS DPC Workshop, conducted at the Annual MTS DP Conference in Houston, Technical Chair of the Conference and a key member of the MTS DPC Technical Committee).
Chuck brings to this key position an unparalleled passion, superior organizational skills, and a keen eye for the identification and deployment of new technologies and ways of working, which I am sure will be leveraged to support the Global DP Community in delivering predictable incident-free DP operations.
Chuck has very kindly agreed to double hat as the Chairman of the DP Conference conducted by MTS DPC while taking on the additional responsibilities as the Vice Chairman of the MTS DPC. Chuck will formulate and execute the transition plan for his handover of the Conference Chairman Role as part of MTS DPC’s multiyear succession planning and implementation strategy.

Chuck Centore started his career in 2000, graduating from the New York Maritime college (earning his 3rd Asst. Engineer License & BE Marine Engineering) and receiving a commission in the United States Navy, where he would serve 5 years aboard a US Submarine and 2 years at the National Security Agency
After being honorably discharged and after having received the prestigious “Junior Office of the Year” award, Chuck transitioned to corporate America with roles at Shell Oil, Grand Isle Shipyard and now as President of Project Mgmt. & Execution at GATE Energy. Chuck has been married for 21 years to the love of his life (Franky) with whom he shares two wonderful children, Dante (18) and Charley (10). In his spare time, Chuck spends his time coaching his daughter’s soccer team, supporting his son on his many Jeep modification endeavors, and helping his wife grow her kid focused life coaching and therapy practice.
